Extracurricular sports programs offered are: girls' and boys' basketball, volleyball, and crosscountry, as well as boys' baseball and girls' softball.

Other extracurricular activities offered are: social inclusion work, social action committee, social events committee, school yearbook, school newpaper, social literary magazine, photography club, and instrumental music lessons

Hawthorne Valley School also provides a foreign exchange program, which has placed our students in Waldorf schools in many other countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, and Peru.
